Continental are now supplying the full range of NetApp appliances including the Storevault S550 which supports both IP SAN and NAS. This unit has a maximum raw capacity of 12TB using 12 SATA disk drives. It carries 2Gb of RAM on board and comes complete with 2 gigabit etherent ports. There is also room for 1 PCI-X and 1PCI-E expansion cards.

The 2U rack mountable chasis is very well built and comes with dual redundant hot pluggable power supplies. We are currently shipping with 250GB, 500GB, 750GB or 1TB SATA drives. 

The StoreVault S550 also comes with 256MB of nonvolatile SDRAM (NVRAM) which protects "in flight" transactions for 3 days in the event of a power loss.
